@feit_srl: On board, ventilation is not just important, it’s essential. There are two main ways to achieve it: axial fans and centrifugal fans. While both move air, they serve very different purposes. Axial fans are designed to move large volumes of air with low pressure, making them ideal for ventilating adjacent spaces. Centrifugal fans, on the other hand, generate higher pressure, allowing air to be pushed through longer duct systems — from engine rooms, technical compartments, or onboard bathrooms all the way outside the hull. At the core of this system is the so-called “squirrel cage” impeller, enclosed in a volute casing, engineered to deliver efficiency and reliability even in the most demanding marine environments.
