I planted 3 of your short varieties and they are doing amazing!! They can absolutely take the heat and direct afternoon sun even here in central Florida (Zone 9B) ☺️

My blooms last until November ish in my area. I have zinnias and cosmos everywhere. They’re mixed in with others like Fox gloves, and snap dragons. But the zinnias and cosmos take the heat so well- They’re beautiful.
