@perkinsights: Why are Americans free to gamble away their paycheck at a casino, on sports betting apps, or prediction markets… but blocked from investing in everyday businesses in their own communities? That’s the conversation we should be having. Consumer protection matters. Fraud prevention matters. But there seems to be a double standard when it comes to helping everyday people make their money work for them through investment opportunities. Just look at my last video. Other countries are already moving forward with tokenization by allowing everyday people to invest in everyday businesses while still requiring disclosures, oversight, and investor protections. So why are we still acting like everyday Americans are sophisticated enough to gamble… but not sophisticated enough to invest?
