Oh my effing G. Please send this to my mom. This is exactly what I said then she gets defensive saying she never had anyone growing up and all about her childhood trauma. Then like that we’re not talking about this issue has caused my trauma.

While doing some digging in therapy I found that I believe I'm not worth protecting since my father would never stand up and protect me and I'm seeing how much damage it has caused. My therapist pointed out anger that I have towards him that I wasn't even aware of.

My dad was the doormat parent. My mom was the one that lashed out and constantly demeaned my dad in front of us. And when it was directed at me he never protected me. I felt so abandoned by him.
