@yataqii: I made a simple chord detector using the short-term Fourier transform! The currently playing notes get matched with the closest chord by treating a set of notes as one vector, and using cosine similarity to find the most similar chord vector. This approaxh works well for just the major and minor chords, but it's harder to detect chord extensions accuratel with this (quite simple!) approach. #mathvisualization #fouriertransform #creativecoding #mathanimation #musictheory
