I quit my job at 39yo to persue solo gamedev and art full-time. things ive learned. 1) it has to be ugly before it can be beautiful. 2) embrace the jank you create. 3) its okay to not know something. 4) challenge yourself to learn something new everyday. 5) exercise in silence (it helps rethink you project). also we are all in this together. making art is hard but it can be rewarding as fuck.
