I think HR should do something about managers not responding to employees and make it just as big of a deal just like an employee not communicating with managers about sick days/issues. If they were to text/call an employee and the employee not respond they’d probably get a write up at minimum. But let the manager not respond and no one bats an eye! Ridiculous and unprofessional.

I think you should look at it slightly differently.. if your manager NEVER responded to your texts more likely than not SHE DID NOT GET THEM.. she probably thought you were a no call no show BOTH INCIDENTS.. and if she never received you absent text she didn’t receive your payment method text.. why didn’t you call when she didn’t respond to text

for future advice your managers don’t have to “care” abt you or comfort you when needed. but yes i would definitely ask abt the reason for your termination. it could be retaliation or even the call outs
