My son rescued a baby raccoon in our backyard several years ago and we gave her to a wildlife rehabilitator. About a year after the rescue, the rehabilitator (who ended up keeping the raccoon) brought her to visit us. That raccoon literally hugged us when we picked her up. Best feeling ever. 🖤
