IF you go on another Disney cruise try doing one of the newer ships- the Destiny is hero/villians themed and more characters and “in your face” Disney theming! ✨ Appreciate your review we’re doing the fantasy in August

Also, the characters are on the island. It’s about middle of the day they come out to meet.

Regarding the times, I’ll be going on my sixth Disney, I fully suggest walking to the restaurant with a few minutes to spare. Going at 7:45 is kinda early and you do lose time to see everyone. I’ll be going on the Fastasy for the first time in August but several of the others are really adult friendly.
