@iowa.repair.shop: This one is gonna upset some mechanics 😂 If the transmission is already out… WHY are we putting a two piece clutch brake back in? We’ve seen way too many failures with them over the years. #DieselTruck#HeavyDuty#TruckRepair#Clutchjob #ShopLife #MechanicLife #OwnerOperator
Can u please make a video removing the one piece clutch brake.

I can replace 20 2 pieces for a far cheaper rate then removing the tranny to put a one piece on. I am 30 year mechanic and I own a trucking company the cost per piece is far cheaper and for the price it just makes sense to use a 2 piece

I wanna see the 15 min video of you removing and installing that one piece clutch brake. I’ve removed them and it can be a bitch but not the worst but how you get a new one piece in without pulling trans??

I’ve asked a couple of guys. You say 15 min to replace a 1 piece. What is your shops process to replace a 1 piece without pulling trans? Torch? Long burr bit? Just curious .

Disagree 100% run the two piece. Doesn’t matter if the one piece lasts longer. You can change out a two piece in a matter of seconds. And you are not changing that one piece in 15 minutes brother come on

Nope I absolutely just had all that out and put a 2 piece in, and the reason for that is because I work on and drive my own equipment

if you lay in snow in a parking lot and cut a one piece out with a hammer and chisel you will never do anything but a two piece for the rest of your life 💯

Correct when the transmission is out and only then. Otherwise it’s a disservice time wise when you can install two piece for far less money and time.

Why not just ask your customers what they prefer? When I was on the road driving a truck, I always made sure to carry a few spare clutch brakes. It only takes 10 minutes to install one by yourself! With the one piece, enjoy a week or two waiting for roadside service that would do anything to pull your tranny out to replace it….

So you cut the one piece out in 15 minutes what do you install? A two piece? So it’s good to put a two piece in when you want to but not in the initial makes no sense. One piece is better than two piece spot you’re making no sense.
