Most of them just got woke. That's what happened. There are still some great ones out there though. Check out Projekt Hail Mary. Not a romance but so good and heartwarming! 💖

They or ride of the good writers, the studios went woke and can’t come up with anything original anymore.

They started dumbing most movies down. For example, in the 80s, a movie commercial would be like 10 seconds. Then the studios came to the conclusion that most people have no attention span, so they started catering to them and putting the whole ass movie in the trailer lol. So most stuff nowadays is made with an idea that the average viewer is a doorknob. That being said, I’d argue that the really good modern movies are on par with the classics.
