John Dillinger actually frequented my home town as one of his gang members grew up there. My mom would often hear stories from her grandparents and teachers about seeing him and the lady in red.

I love the work you do. In this case I would have preferred only to stabilize it and not clean it. I think it loses its authenticity.

Except for when you are retouching/recolouring an item, do you physically make contact with it, or is it always through the acetate? Do you ever actually squeegee an item itself with no overlay?

how does one even get a hold of this whilst not being a Museum Curator??? I guess private collectors but even then how does one acquire the connections to even know of something like this being in the market?

Harlan Ellison's Ghost :
My dad was hitchhiking to CCC camp in the early 30s, and the police picked him up and gave him a ride cuz they were looking for Dillinger.

Is just me or was some of the ink on the paper lost during the cleaning process? It looks still stunning but ink back then was not easy to keep on paper to begin with...

Myrna Loy said she felt a little guilty about Dillinger's death since he was rumored to be a fan. He went to see her in Manhattan Melodrama before being gunned down.😳

Musician Since Childhood, American Immigrant in East Asia: I don't understand people who desire things to be or stay relic-ed. Musical instruments, if they're old and worn genuinely or falsely, the value goes up. Why? I would never buy a vintage or antique instrument because I would have zero hesitation restoring it to its original condition or upgrading it. I don't care about playing a museum piece. Sure, yeah, I like the wear and tear on my instruments, but only where I did it myself. Every time I see an instrument in a protective case selling for tens of thousands of dollars, all original, typically I think I have a better instrument. There's actual technology behind something looking and playing better because it's old or because someone played it to the point that it's customized. I rather have stuff restored; I certainly have my instruments restored; I have zero hesitation about cleaning something up to work like new, or even better both like new and used in a way that makes it better than new.
