My orange baby has aggressive oral cancer and it’s so hard watching your pet decay I genuinely in my head everyday thinking what could’ve I done to prevent this but we kept taking him to the vet and they never told us anything forrrr months now it’s aggressive

my cat had lung cancer and towards the end, her breathe started smelling so bad and her scent on her body changed. that’s the way i knew it was time.

I had grown up with three cats. Squeakers, Sampson, and Matilda. They were there when I was born, all the way up till about two years ago. I was about ten or eleven. They were older than me, our oldest: Squeakers being about sixteen. They all died within the span of three months. Squeak first, then Sam, then Tilly. When it happened (I live with my dad), my mom came over and took them with her to spend their last moments together. I never got to be there when they died, and I feel so bad. I didn't get to stay with any of them. I miss them so much. When they were dying, they smelled different too. Sicker, I suppose. I don't know why they died though. I'd assume of natural causes. I'm sorry for your loss. They were lucky to have had you, as you were them. Take care of yourself.

oh my god someone who understands. he didn't smell like himself anymore. my partner's cat allergy was also going absolutely haywire in those last days so ig he was shedding dander like crazy yet he wasn't shedding fur at all.

As a vet-tech for years now… I understand and I’m so so sorry you have gone through the loss and pain of something so devastating. Thank you for caring for that baby. She was obviously so loved.

I smelled my poor baby Allie because she gave up on bathing. her scent was on my sweater and rug weeks after she passed.

This happened to my mom (in like the 80s/90s) and it still weighs on her.. she would get mad and yell about how her dog smelled terrible, when she passed they found out she had cancer. My mom still talks about it and how terrible she felt when she found out what was causing it💔

When we took my boy to the ER for triaditis, my husband who is a paramedic said he smelled like sepsis. I have never rushed to the vet so fast.
