lol I'm still running on 28hp vanguard from 2014. 900 hours. I have a 2019 model scag vride 2. hopefully I'll never need a new mower by doing regular maintenance.

we have vanguard engines on our ferris z3x's. they've been flawless, we put about 400+hrs a year on each one.

Had the same issue on our vanguard about 2 years ago. Two bent push rods. Replaced the head and was good until about 6 months ago. We thought it was the same thing but ended up being bad coil this last time

I been saying forever vanguard is junk. I bought a used vride with a vanguard on it, and went out and immediately bought a Kawasaki motor to put on it as soon as the vanguard gives up. She’s on her last leg, that 38.5 kawi going on there before the summers over.
