I think there's something off here most people here don't even know what DNS is or how it works yet they claim it can speed up connection reduce lag and increase download speed but honestly it can only speed up the initial connection which is why you might feel like websites open faster and honestly the difference might not even be noticeable if your resolver is already excellent which is usually your ISP anyway and this is because DNS works before the connection to a server even starts and that's just how its function works and whoever wants to know more should look up DNS LOOKUP and how it works and then you'll get why I'm saying all this and in short DNS can be used to speed up the initial connection but it cannot affect the middle of the connection for example in games it cannot improve ping or reduce lag but it does speed up the initial connection to the server and that's it you can ask chat gpt if you don't trust me
