I disagree. in some cases the forced diversity counters huge plot points. The wheel of time series is a great example. A secluded village looks like a NATO meeting, completely missing the fact that the main character stands out from everyone else.

@Mprein23: The problem with forced diversity is you narrow your scope. Instead of looking at funny actors, which is hard to come by, you’re looking for a funny actor that checks a box. Making that talent pool much smaller. That’s the problem with Happy Gilmore 2. In order to get pro golfers, they narrowed their pool so small that it was impossible to find funny for those roles.
