@dunncountyhumanesociety: It’s a beautiful day for some TNR! ☀️🐾 TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) is important because it helps reduce the number of homeless kittens being born, prevents fighting and mating behaviors, and allows community cats to live healthier lives without continuing the cycle of overpopulation. These cats are now spayed and neutered, and safely returned to the area they know as home. Every cat fixed makes a difference. ❤️ ❗️Edited to add: We understand there is some anger and frustration regarding this video and we want to reiterate that these are not house-cats being dumped into the wild. These cats are feral and already lived outdoors in the area where they were trapped. We were asked by the property owner to help with TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) so they were spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and returned to their established territory. TNR is the humane, proven method for reducing feral cat overpopulation. It helps cats live healthier lives while reducing nuisance behaviors like fighting, spraying, yowling, and constant breeding. Removing community cats entirely creates a “vacuum effect” where new unaltered cats move into the now-empty territory, and the cycle starts all over again. Returning sterilized cats prevents new cats from moving in and stabilizes the population over time. Our goal is fewer kittens, healthier cats, and a more peaceful coexistence for both animals and the community.
