As someone who has pulled mini motors, it is much easier to pull the transmission with the engine. Just pull the radiator support off and pull it out the front.

It's always easier to pull them together when your working on the ground.

Under the car where the engine meets the transmission. Theirs a hole where you can remove the torque converter bolts. It’s a lot easier to get it from there. Don’t forget to remove starter as well

I think you can remove the radiator front core support so you can take all out together easily.
