“These guys wanna leave at exactly 10” if we start closing our kitchen at 9:45 we won’t leave till 12:30-1:30…

I work in a restaurant…takeout food 10 min before closing, cool. Trying to sit down, grub, drink for 30-40 min…10 min before closing, not cool at all.

Closing at 10:00 and taking orders until 10:00 are two different things.

Ideally if they close at 10 you should be finishing your order and leaving by 10.

When you walk into a restaurant that late, the amount of money the restaurant is spending on payroll to serve just you costs more than your meal. Stop doing it, please and thank you.

At a place like Chipotle doesn't matter...at an actual sit-down restaurant, you can't go right before it closes.

I agree with the one guy, if you’re not ordering a grill item I’d be fine with it, also cooks don’t want to leave early, we’ve busted ass to leave on time. At 10.

People do realize sometimes its not because the employees want to leave but because their management puts unrealistic goals. When I worked fast food if we waited to clean when we closed we would've had to do 2 or 3 hours of cleaning in 1 hour so we wouldn't get yelled at.
