I did not grow up in a religious household. My dad never really talked about beliefs, and my mom was always searching. As I got older, I identified more as a deist, then later agnostic, and eventually Christian. Recently, for personal reasons, I took a step back and started reading more about what I call “Cosmic Jesus,” along with mysticism and different spiritual perspectives. Now I feel like I’m floating a bit — learning, exploring, and appreciating the freedom of the journey without judgment. I still lean toward Jesus because of His teachings: love, grace, and acceptance. And if I’m honest, my fear of death has probably played a role in that too.

the creative Spirit of life, the divine, goes by many names. Religion is a personal or group response to that spirit. If you didn't choose that religion, you are not bound by its rules. What I realized was that while some souls belong to the Christian God, mine did not. I wasn't beholden to the flawed beliefs of the church. There were many other paths to connect with Spirit

As I have deconstructed,I have tried to give my Christian mother comfort by reminding her if the Jesus she taught me about is real, I am fine! If he isn't that loving diety, then I'm still fine!
