@deeploneliness_: those kinds of connections mess with your head in a completely different way because there’s barely enough time for closure, but somehow enough intensity to leave a permanent mark. it’s like you meet someone and instantly feel this rare familiarity, this energy that feels deeper than it logically should, and before you can even fully understand what it is, life pulls it apart. wrong timing, distance, circumstances, emotional unavailability, whatever it is, something interrupts it before it has the chance to become what it felt like it could’ve been. and that’s what makes it haunt people so much. not necessarily what it was, but what it felt like it could’ve been. because when something that meaningful ends quickly, your mind fills in all the unfinished spaces with possibility. sometimes those connections are meant to stay brief though. not because they weren’t real, but because they were meant to change you, wake something up in you, or remind you what deep connection feels like, even if they weren’t meant to stay forever.
