it's been proven apps can track your eye movements , so what you look at and where your eyes linger, they track your purchase habits, algorithms gauge how long you watch a video. They might not be tracking flow but they do track your emotional swings in a way based on data compiled at different times across different apps. it's how they can deliver ads based on What they think you're more likely to buy and at what times .

I have a question to everyone who agrees… are y’all the type to accept or reject cookies when you go to new websites? Or do y’all allow apps to track follow you? Or allow your location to stay on in the background? Or allow your analytics to be sent off when you have an app crash? If your answer is yes to any of the above, it’s less magical than you think. They use your data and pattern recognition. Former tech girlie here who used to work specifically in ads

Ima put the tinfoil cap on for this one because I know it sounds absolutely crazy. But I think they can hear our thoughts. I could be thinking something that I know for sure I didn't say out loud and a reel or an ad about it will pop up. I have done this intentionally just to see what happens because it was getting weird.

Actually, no it does this sound stupid I was listening to a podcast a while ago and they talked about how the camera especially on iPhones record your face and your facial expressions so let’s say you’re scrolling through the algorithm. For example, it will record how you respond based off of your facial expressions along and then it will send you things based off of that so you’re absolutely right.

Not stupid at all. Facebook was sued for sending depressing content to people going through stress. They were proving that the algorithm is targeted enough that emotions heavy influence your viewing and there is no protection for people under stress being mass fed negative content because that is usually the only time that content is consumed because of how the algorithm works.
