I try to never keep over 1k in my checking or savings, why not keep in HYSA or treasury fund where it can draw higher returns?

I am in MS and have 1 checking and 3 different savings plus CD. I don’t think I know anyone in MS that would only have $2500 since they make 4 times that much in a month. We move $5k into a HYS every month. We live in a $600k home that is paid off. MS is not as poor as most people think.

okay you're trying to get financial advice and you don't know the difference between cost of living of Mississippi versus California you need to stop trying to get financial advice. if you got $2,500 in your savings account you're fine. money in your bank account loses money even in savings against inflation. The biggest problem is not to have massive amount of debt more so than how much money you have in your savings
