The good ones have an open network policy, so you can go to any dentist of your choice and they accept the dentist’s fees.

My husband covers are medical through his employer and dental…but my employer has a really good dental insurance so i added that in addition to cover more because it’s expensive out of pocket.

I feel like pre-auths are a delay tactic. The insurance can deny regardless of pre-auth status. Just gives patients one more reason to be upset if insurance denies.
