it’s ok to take up space as a disabled person!! i remember being so ashamed of my tics in class and the anxiety making me spiral into tic attacks. luckily i just garden all the time and that helps me barely tic at all

I go to my local bookstore all the time and it took me so long to feel comfortable! It’s still hard to this day but the workers are so sweet and some have me memorized and understand

feeling comfortable enough to go into the library is amazing!! as someone who frequents them, I promise you tics are no bother to anyone ❤️the library is and always has been for everyone. between kids playing video games, toddlers running around, disabled people, everyone talking, and groups that use community rooms, libraries have never been silent. anyone who turns to look at you is doing it out of instinct in the same way we look towards a door when it opens. humans are funny like that! I hope you enjoy the book you picked up 😊
