@thepowerdoctor: While TRT only carries a slight thrombosis risk if there is a lack of monitoring, we have to ask about the underlying mechanisms. Our best understanding is that erythrocytosis may drive this small risk. We do wonder about estrogen mediated risk since estrogen is a risk factor for blood clots in women taking oral contraceptives with estrogen.
