Im a convert women and I get you! I used to wear hijab. I had a very bad experience with Muslim men playing games and disrespecting me on marriage apps because they think I’m old, that I been around when I’m 32! and they think I’m dumb and don’t have Islamic rights that every women deserves wether your a born Muslim or not! and think I’m easy because I’m from A western culture. At this point I’m happier and at peace because I’m not in the arb/ middle eastern toxic environment getting dirty looks from the women and flirty stares from men gross! Right now I only hangout or associate with converts and avoid Muslim men I’m done with them!

though I believe that posting things like this, there's possibility that people are gonna use this against the religion itself. Your upbringing blows my mind as a 49 year old Muslim woman. Whilst my upbrining was not perfect we actually were encouraged to befriend non muslims and all have gay friends. My Islam was given with love. I have mixed race Muslim and non Muslim cousins and my Muslim beloved grandfather adored them.

i appreciate u a lot for speaking up about how gay ppl r talked about/treated :// im gay and muslim,and muslims love to say that they’re not homophobic or they don’t care, but as someone who’s not publicly out, i’ve had to hear convos about how they speak about them. homophobia doesn’t always mean ur gonna go up to a gay person and attack them. it also means speaking about them as if they’re wired wrong, they’re influenced by media, or that their existence is somehow gonna make more ppl gay. also before anyone says why don’t i say anything back, ppl r genuinely crazy that if u side with the gay ppl u r gay and me personally it’s hard for me to speak about this as im gay myself and a lot of people dont know. thanks for speaking up about it again tho i appreciate it :) im muslim and i agree w u a 100% idk why theyre saying ur an ex muslim bc im muslim and i agree

I know your whole point is coming from a liberal ideology. We absolutely do not demonize gay people it’s about our religion and the rules we follow. If you can’t accept that, then just move on. Homosexuality is also banned or restricted in some Christian countries like Russia and Poland. As a Muslim man, I can marry multiple women, but that’s illegal in the West, so I have to follow the laws there as well.
