Day 7 Island Survival 🏝️ Dog Helps Catch Seafood Instead of Eating Sand Day 7 of island survival with my dog Lucky… and today almost turned into a 'fried sand' dinner 😂 But Lucky had other plans. From aggressive digging to spinning hunts, Lucky went full 'pro forager mode' and helped uncover hidden seafood like crabs and octopus. Watching him track, dig, and react to movement is honestly better than any survival tool. We even found camouflaged octopus blending perfectly into rocks, something you'd easily miss without experience. Moments like this show how wild coastal environments really work, whether it's here or on beaches in California or Florida. Of course, not everything is smooth. Some sea creatures might be dangerous (like potentially venomous octopus), so every catch comes with risk and learning. That's part of real outdoor survival. After a long day of foraging, we head back to our small RV home, simple, but enough. Fresh seafood noodles, ocean breeze, and a loyal dog by your side… that's the reward.
