@heahmurd: Song to Song was one of Ryan Gosling’s most unusual movies because almost the entire film was made without a traditional script. Director Terrence Malick filmed hundreds of hours of footage and would often give actors new ideas or dialogue moments before shooting. Gosling said a lot of scenes were built completely through improvisation and natural reactions. The movie was shot during real music festivals in Austin and featured appearances from actual musicians like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Iggy Pop, and Florence + The Machine.
