125000 miles and something cause a hole in the #6 cylinder. Wrapped the valve when the piston hit the head. It had been deleted for about 20000 miles.

I had a 2021 ever had issues I did all my services at 5k and ran the correct oil based in the time of the year as recommended by Cummins and never had an issue I put 110k on it I sold it not because it was a bad truck no. I honestly was one of the greatest trucks I ever owned I just wanted something different and ended up buying an L5P.

Nope stock with cheetah, bank monster air, bank ram air and bank intercoolers, also deleted since 57k currently at 162k zero issues. Truck also has the common type writer tick after oil changes for 1-2k then it goes away on every oil change been hearing that tick since 60-70k.

21 Ram 5500, did hamiltom cam lifter's amd had harmonic balancer bolt's bolt's break off. so far my 17 amd 18 gen 4 habe never had anything beside's exhaust manifold and new hardware, and put a lift pump on the 17 because I alway's ran it till the fuel light came on which was probably my fault. The gen 5's are quiter and run cooler but after those major failure's, cummin's went the wrong route!👍 never knew they even had problem's with harmonic balancer bolt's breaking untill I had time on the highway to research it👍😂.

It’s because they’re using the wrong weight of oil or they’re waiting too long between oil change

Deleted and tuned at 14000, 38000 miles now. I've noticed some typewriter sound since 5000 miles. Amsoil signature series 5/40 and I add hotshot secrets at every oil change. Hamilton swap is in the cards as soon as money allows

Had both of my trucks start making noise around 450k km the first one (2020) needed the cam changed aswell due to some severe pitting.

Curious, how many kms do you go between oil changes. I have a 2023 with 85,000km and deleted it at 25,000km I go 6000 between changes myself.

Deleted 2024 , 79,0000 miles . I change the oil every 4,000 miles. Was randomly noticing a tick then became more noticeable. I just did the swap last week. My lifters weren’t terrible but had small little lines you could feel worn in.

No doubt there was a quality assurance issue with some of these, but I believe it’s more about proper maintenance for most of the failures. People thinking they can neglect the maintenance and get away with it like the 4th gen and earlier engines
