The absolute biggest mistake is not learning the article with the noun. 100%! I was told this but kind of ignored it- big mistake. HUGE!

My friend and I are both taking GCSE drama and we both walk home the same way so on our way home we try to talk about our day in German, sometimes we have to clarify what we mean in English because our German isn't perfect but our grades are pretty good and the journey home feels much shorter

I try to say anything random to my husband in German about our day. Eating, going to the gym, doctors appointments, walking, shopping, etc. I also do the pausing/talking thing without realizing it’s a thing. German is hard😭

I learned the most talking to myself while working. Due to the combination of physical exhaustion and repetitivity I was able to get it quite quickly
