Mine does that sometimes on a run. Just do this. It will work fine. press and hold the Power/Light button (top-left) for 15-30 seconds until the screen goes completely blank, then press it for one second to turn it back on.

Desi, I'll give you some advice: change your watch brand. There's a brand called Suunto, it's Finnish and it's a much better watch than Garmin, and it's more effective for all kinds of sports, and it also has solar charging.
