Kindergarten teacher here! I have one student that does kumon and has been in it before he started school and he is so far above grade level and tests in the 98th percentile

Nanny of 13 years here who nannied two twins who did kumon. Was it their favorite thing? No. Could they write to 100 before kindergarten yep! I think it’s a good thing if you can keep other fun and balance in their life still!

Our 4 year old started 6 months before she turned 3. Right now she's reading 3 letter words and counting to 100. She is so proud of herself. We chose to do the digital program - which is great because there's not stress of a certain number of days packed out and corrections occur overnight. We do her Kumon in the morning and it means she earns tablet time while I'm making dinner. The Khan Academy game app and the PBS kids game app are really great (AND SAFE) companions

My daughter is 7 she was behind i. Her class. 8months of kumon she is at grade level. She does not like it but she is proud of what she has accomplish. Super recommend, is a commitment for both the parents and the kid.

My son is in math kumon it really helps him get ahead and learn to figure out the problems himself , which is great cause I’m not good at math.

I owned a kumon center and would not recommend it specially today. your kid is going to like it for the first two months as they will give them very easy work. once they reach a little harder level they will start giving them multiple revisions of the same sheets over and over again. They will not teach the concept they want children to self learn. its called memorization not learning. I am giving you my honest opinion.
