negotiate not barter, I do the same for everything... the trick is to never actually need anything

At lowes, look at the clearance tag on the back of it it’s supposed to have a date…every 2 weeks it goes down 25% till it hits 90% off sometimes they forget to change the price

Wait till you figure out this works on new stuff too. I got 1000 off my commercial John Deere zero turn. If stuff’s been sitting for awhile they want it gone. Turnkey stuff they don’t budge much on.

Barter is exchanging goods. Haggling is negotiating lower costs. ✨the more you know ✨

lol my husband once got a discount on some outdoor furniture from Lowe’s because he asked the manager if he could have a discount because of how many butts have sat on it while it was in store 😂

I fear if I tried this, I’d get talked into paying more than the asking price because any hint of rejection would have me mortified lmao

As a former specialist at Lowe’s I can confirm that with the clearance stuff there’s a lot of room to negotiate. Typically that stuff sits for a while and when corporate does walks they don’t like seeing that stuff so some stores are willing to take a slight loss if it means it moves that clearance item out of the store. Find the specialist or the supervisor of that department and start talking numbers. The specialist gets a slight commission at the end of the month so trust me they want to sell it to you.
