I am all for technology advancement including AI and robotics. I just worry the greedy governments and corporations won't handle the transition into this advanced era properly. IF it is done properly, AI and robotics could solve a ton of issues in the world for the better of humanity. If only the IS and China would work together instead of against each other, they could combine their AI work and perfect it properly.

In a vacuum building new data centers is fine, but they aren’t built in a vacuum. The effect these hyperscalers have on energy demand alone makes them an issue. Couple that with the large portion of the country that’s anti green energy, there is no offset and utility bills will sky rocket. DCs should have to provide a certain % of their own energy through green/nuclear methods as to not fuck the rest of us over.
