HIPAA (not HIPPA) doesn’t apply to the vast majority of employers. It governs medical providers, insurers, and clearinghouses.

TBH, when I'm on sick leave I stay in the house and rest. Can you imagine? long lines, sometimes you have body pain and you need to endure that uncomfortable hospital chairs.?

Meh I had a job where they super strict on calling out sick & required a doctors note, so I went in super sick (long ago b4 Covid) & infected the entire office, they changed their policy 🤷🏻

I had the stomache flu one time and my boss at the time wanted a dr’s note after 2 days and I told him to come over to my house and find out. He actually sent someone over and they found out very fast that I had the stomach flu. He literally walked in while I was having an episode of everything coming out of both ends. No questions were asked after that
