I REALLY like the second one! I’m guessing they are a squirrel and the puffy pants remind me of the cheeks of a squirrel when they stuff acorns in their mouths, I think that fit the character perfectly and the fact they have many pouches!

Your style is so cute! Your speedpaint actually weirdly made me understand how people make art without lineart first lol. I love the colors in the first one but love the silhouette of the second one! Maybe its just because the first one had bits of the blue of the bottom bringing the colors together? But at the same time, in the second one with everything else having brown tones it helped the blue shirt and green hair pop out more. Both just look really good [happy]

I think it’s colours and variety of shapes as the brown pants looked similar to the bag and tail shading. It helped break the design up and the legs read a lot more squirrel like.

Heyy Js a lil tip on the bow, the upper tips shouldn’t be inwards if u look at all bow and arrow designs the tips are all pointed outwards, this has nothing to do with how AMAZING the artwork is I Js wanted to mention it since Ive seen so many people making this mistake [lovely]

The second one is much more cuter and eye catching! For character design it might be better to rough a whole bunch of designs and go further from there, along with colour palettes as well! I have an example if needed since I stink at explaining lol
