On translation . 1/3 My main goal of translating this song is just to provide a singable version for English speakers, so that more people can enjoy singing it. . 2/3 I made two translations of the verse, and rather than pick one, I decided to present both. So, Yi Xi represents one translation and Ling Wan represents the other. Yi Xi’s is more literal. . On the song . 3/3 The second verse is actually very philosophical in a way. I like to think about the symbolism of the flower bridge, especially in relation to the first verse, where “the honeybee is born to die collecting flowers.” . If you read all of this, thank you!
