Pre 65 retiree checking in! I retired at 57 from the financial services industry (35 years). It’s important to realize we all have a shelf life. The early phase of retirement takes adjustment then you figure it out!

Great advise. I was lucky enough to believe this my whole career. I was good enough to make enough to do the things I wanted to do on my free time. When I retired I just did what I wanted all the time. The worst advice to give kids is “do what you love”, better to “do what you can stand that makes enough money to do what you love”

A part time "fun" job has helped me realize ...I don't actually need to work...I can find things to spend my time on, that are for me. The huge amount of free time was initially a shock to my system but you'll get used to it 😉😁
