Add the crushed tomatoes, Italian herbs, and black pepper to the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes. 4. Stir in the chickpeas, zucchini, and mushrooms. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender and the sauce has thickened. 5. Mix the cooked pasta into the sauce, ensuring even coating. Garnish with fresh basil if desired. 6.
