@moritz_adam_schmitt: „Spring“ - This painting is still something special to this day, even though it’s already two years old. If you know my work, you’ll know that I usually use my paintings to draw attention to serious topics, often hidden behind a colorful facade. “Spring” is one of the few exceptions where it’s all about pure joy. Somehow, the winter of 2023/24, with its grey and rainy weather, affected me more than usual. That made me appreciate the first sunshine, the greenery, and the early blossoms in April 2024 even more. I had a completely different sense of gratitude for the arrival of spring than I normally do, and it was exactly this feeling that inspired me to paint “Spring.” The pose of stretching and awakening, combined with symbols and elements of spring, was meant to capture that emotion.
