there's loneliness, isolation, and solitude. you can be lonely even with someone, but it's key features are that it's involuntary and painful. isolation can be voluntary/involuntary but it's still painful. solitude is voluntary and peaceful. when we look for people to cure our loneliness, it's not sustainable. but when we find someone who can share our solitude, that's what lasts
