I think you’re being disingenuous. “Why are you like this” is an inherently accusatory question. Approaching a stranger of any gender with that question is going to make that person feel like they’re being judged, and nobody appreciates being judged by anyone, let alone a stranger.

I will say that "why are you like this?" is, objectively, an incredibly vague question that could definitely be confusing without any context. That said, I see no reason to be angry about it, and would answer as best I could.

I don’t see how this is a hard question? There is nothing wrong with self reflection and thinking critically about why am I like this? I’m a product of my surroundings, my own experiences, and time. I’m like this now but won’t be like this in the future because I will learn & change.
