u clearly dont know how big companies work. the cost for them to make a a xxl vs xs is litterly going to be a differance in pennies. when there selling the shirts for over 20, making the bigger sizes more expensive litterly makes no sence. the only way this makes sence is if its a small business

well when brands make clothes they buy the same amount of fabric every time. they make a big amount of sizes that are most sold like XS-XL and with the leftover they make the rest of the sizes. so basically they make a big amount of smaller sizes and smaller amount of the bigger sizes so it cancels out

It'd be a few pennies different. Most of the cost comes from putting together the clothes, packaging, shipping, distributing, etc. so there'd be no point adding 1p more to the price of the xxl shirt – it'll hardly show up in profit margins

no this is so dumb... they buy fabric in bulk, they don't pay more for any size because they don't calculate it like that also, smaller sizes actually waste more material, they use the same amount of fabric for every piece, if a size is larger it uses up most of the material, so there is less little pieces to throw away also, the average size in the world is m-l, so larger sizes are more profitable anyways since most of the time they're completely sold out

im fat, an XL, and i feel like people shouldnt do this, yes its more fabric, but what if they cant afford it? i know i cant. and ive been fat all my life, "just lose weight" i cant afford gym stuff. "how do u afford the food" i barley eat yet i dont lose weight. if this wouldve happend i would wesr the same clothes for years, and if they get worn out i canf be able to sfford new stuff. no new clothes. what do i do then?

Companies spend maybe a couple pennies when making larger clothing sizes since fabric is bought in bulk. If they charged more for larger sizes, people would be less likely to buy from the company and go to places offering clothes for the same price no matter the size. Charging for the cents worth of difference would cost companies way more than they make charging everything the same
