Tip from a girl who just planned a wedding, and dealt with everyone's opinions tell people you don't plan on getting married until much later than you expect that way the expectations from them is off and you can focus on what you want

Do the engagement party especially if you are wanting to wait for the wedding to be 2028. Everyone is excited and wants to celebrate with you. I always suggest the more celebrations and outfits if you can afford them do them. It's your only (hopefully) bridal era ❤️

Ben’s also going to be so busy with residency that it’s already going to be tough to celebrate the engagement part of this so might as well take the extra time and soak it all in and then have the time and mental space to celebrate the wedding season too!!

Don’t forget the residency aspect of setting a date! Definitely work with the program coordinator. At my husbands program you have to rank 4 weeks the year prior and it’s not a guarantee you get them😩

I genuinely think ppl ask right away bc venues book out so far lmao so some brides plan before engaged (kinda cray but no judgement) I got engaged Feb 2025 booked venue in April 2025 for June 2027 ahahah!!!! It was the first available ngl and I highly recommend the long engagement so low stress planning over here
