In the early 90s, I had three children under the age of five. I lived in Houston Texas and it was very possible for me to have full-time help, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. I was very grateful for it. I married a man 24 years my senior so he was already well established as an executive level employee And we could afford it. I only had that full-time help until my youngest was in school full-time and then she went down to two days a week. It was wonderful and I really appreciated it. I had to do a lot of entertaining for my husband‘s business. We had at least one dinner party a week if not more. I couldn’t have done it without my helpers.
