I started a budget spreadsheet, by hand, in a "college ruled" notebook for every month. I listed ALL outgoing bills by dates due (in order) and which paycheck covers each one. It's worked tremendously well for me! It really helps when I wonder "did I pay that?!!" 🤔😊 I'm trying to follow your TT advice as well. 😌

Don't budget from a financial planner. For most high Earners it's relatively easy to set up a cash flow automation system that saves first and allows you to spend whatever's leftover without all the tracking. Setting the proper allocations for saving and investing are definitely important. Traditional budget tracking is usually the most useful for people who don't have a lot of margin in their finances whether because they don't have a high income or they have really high debt and expenses.
