Check the spring seat pocket ,, some of the cheaper heads are thin in the pocket area,,which with a stiffer spring for a bigger cam they will crack around the spring pockets. But good for a mild lift cam.

How much would it cost extra after all the little fixes and upgrades you guys did post the cost of the heads? That’s the question bc if at the end they cost as much as the good brand head then there be no point in buying these.

REDREPAIR :
Have found the bare castings to be decent, have not faired so well on the fully assembled ( 1 out of 20 has a defect ) have had valves seized or stick in the guides after running or gotten hot . Looks like top of guides hit or top of guides damaged when keepers installed or head rolled on a bench .
