@thomascattlecompany: THE REDESIGN FELT LIKE A GAMBLE . We spent nearly 6 months redesigning our jerky bags. As a small ranch brand with a premium product, we knew we couldn’t afford to blend in on the shelf. . OUR OLD BAGS LOOKED LIKE “JERKY PACKAGING” . Our old bags served us well, but eventually we realized they looked like what people expected beef jerky packaging to look like. We wanted Thomas Cattle Company to feel different. . WE DEBATED REMOVING THE WINDOW FOR MONTHS . Most jerky brands rely on customers seeing the product first. Removing the window felt risky, and honestly, we questioned that decision many times. . WE DECIDED TO BET ON THE BRAND . We wanted people to connect with the story, lifestyle, and quality behind the brand before they ever opened the bag. . EVERY DETAIL BECAME INTENTIONAL . From choosing matte bags over glossy to refining the colors, typography, and layout, we obsessed over every detail to create something that felt timeless and premium. . WE DIDN’T WANT “FAKE WESTERN” . Real western life isn’t polished. It’s grit, sacrifice, long days, and pride in how you live. We wanted our packaging to reflect the life we actually live every day. . THE ARTWORK IS PERSONAL TO US . Some of the people in the artwork are inspired by our own family and ranch life. The girl on horseback, for example, was inspired by our daughter, Adeline. . WE WANTED PEOPLE TO STOP AND LOOK . With dozens of jerky options on the shelf, we wanted our bags to stand out. Not by being louder, but by feeling different enough to spark curiosity. . SEEING THEM IN STORES FELT EMOTIONAL . The first time we saw the new bags hanging in stores, it felt like the packaging finally reflected the quality of the product inside. . THIS WAS ABOUT MORE THAN JUST PACKAGING .
