@malboudehane: Bro thinks he’s goggins💀 First backyard ultra in the bag, I didn’t come for a distance I came for a feeling I got that, never felt my legs like that before Completed yard 12 by the skin of my teeth, headed right back out for 13 and timed out Such a good experience, learnt a lot a lot myself, met some cool people and ran my first ultra (35km more than I’d ever run before) Been in my head the last week wondering if I made a few adjustments I’d have gone further, maybe my legs didn’t hurt as much as I thought, maybe I didn’t push hard enough You can never know the answer to this but what I can do is go again to further test myself which no doubt I’ll do at some point I’m still new to the game, didn’t even own running shoes in Jan 2025, IronMan 9 months later and started my first run focused block in January 2026 I’ve been in pain after the IronMan and in the backyard, that’s only 2 experiences. No doubt as I do this more I will improve Proud of what I achieved but there is still questions which starts the never ending quest of endurance and self discovery No excuses, just need more time training of which I have plenty but you need to do you first at some point so mine was now An experience I’ll remember forever and a big reason why I do all of this 5 weeks out now from my first 50 miler which will be my first point to point ultra through the Welsh mountains which I’m really excited for @ultra_wales #ultrarunning #trailrunning #backyardultra #ironman #ultramarathon
